Richard Selzer was born in 1928 in Troy, New York. He received his M.D. degree from Albany Medical College and did his surgical residency at Yale Medical School, which was interrupted by two years in the US Army. He and his wife, Janet, had three children. Dr. Selzer practiced surgery in New Haven and was associate professor of surgery at Yale University. He retired from his surgical practice.Cast: Kathryn G.
